PREMIER OPEN SHOW

My thanks to the Society for inviting me to judge at this Premier Show and also to my ever efficient steward, Sharon Confue for keeping everything flowing well. It was an extremely hot day and whilst the dogs coped well I think that was probably quite a number absent particularly as there had been a show on the previous day at the same venue.

2 Thompson & Lapthorne’s JENINA JIVE BUNNY Australian B I liked this bitch, but she was so furtive on the table and appeared to be nervous, such a shame as she is very sound, moved well and beautifully presented.

1 Nash’s EARTHAW OWAIN THE CELT Norwich D Judged him as a puppy and commented he is a cracker! Maturing nicely, he’s well put together and presents a very balanced outline, in excellent coat he has enormous ring presence, moves with drive and is very well handled.

1 Milham’s ELYSTARI THIS MUST BE LOVE Border Collie B Another I judged as a young puppy, she impressed me then and even more so now. Maturing nicely she has a lovely feminine head of correct shape with alert expression, good dentition, excellent bone but not overdone, balanced with correct tail carriage, movement true both ways and in profile.
2 Ghent’s SENSHA ANGEL EYES AT CLAUDMIST Akita B Upstanding but feminine, good head and expression, strong neck and shoulders, correct bone without being coarse. Presented in good coat, moved with purpose as the breed should keeping her square outline.
