I was a pleased to be asked to judge this friendly and well organised show, there seemed to be a calm and efficient atmosphere all day. My steward was more than capable and kept everything running smoothly.

I was very pleased with the Best in Show line up and felt that the Greyhound Whirlaway All Fired Up At Boughton (IMP AUST) was so soundly constructed, with a long arched neck, clean, well-laid shoulders, deep chest, slightly arched loin, powerful quarters, he moved straight with low reaching, free striding action covering the ground, fully deserved being awarded Best In Show. For my reserve I chose the Border Collie Moshanta Magic Penny For Taytinja JW she was so well-proportioned with a smooth outline showing quality and gracefulness, she had a free smooth action with minimum lift of feet. For my best puppy in show, I was again presented with an excellent choice, my best puppy was the Gordon Setter Hernwood Love Potion, what a future this young bitch should have, she has the most appealing outline and conformation, long lean arched neck flowing into well set front assembly, level topline, broad and muscular rear end with well bent stifles, true steady free moving action with plenty of drive from behind. For my reserve the Dobermann Peradua Amaris stood out for me at just over 6 months old, she held her shapely elegant outline both standing and moving, she moves so soundly with good reach in the front action and drive from the rear. Best veteran in Show was the Schipperke Fandal’s Viljam At Ridgebrook (FIN IMP), he had a cobby appearance with a balanced shape, he moved with short brisk stride, moving true coming and going. For reserve the Bearded Collie Malandex Xceptional Love At Anfranjo at 11 years old and still in fabulous coat which was so well presented, still able to move out well covering the ground with sound action.
